Digital Planetarium (Mobile/ Fixed)

DigiskyTM , The Planetarium, is a school, a theater and a cinema all rolled into one. DigiskyTM Planetariums are available for Rental and Sale across India.

We are pioneers in planetarium technology, planetarium content and planetarium education in India. We design, manufacture and run mobile and fixed planetariums.

More than 10,000 planetarium outreach programmes in 70 odd cities across India for school / college students and general public have been conducted using DigiskyTM Planetarium systems. The decision makers can scale up DigiskyTM systems demographically, topographically and pedagogically.

The aim is to :-

  • Give easy, widespread and regular access to students to the fundamental and mother Of all Sciences: Astronomy, which has universal reach and appeal.
  • Bring the fascination and beauty of stars to starless light polluted metropolitan cities.
  • Fill the lacuna of astronomy in the Indian education system.
  • Motivate students to pursue science as a hobby and career.
  • Liberate teaching fraternity from the impediments of empirical/ real sky observations by providing state of the art digital planetarium sky simulation.
  • Develop planetarium content embedded in Indian ethos for promotion of scientific temper among student community in particular and general public at large.
  • Promote history of science, achievements of science and technology and human space endeavour -ISRO.
  • Give educators pedagogical freedom on Astronomy by training them on Planetarium Education.
  • Develop a vibrant fraternity of planetarium educators (planetarians) across India.

DigiskyTM has become quite popular among students, teachers and astronomers’ fraternity. It creates immersive environment with a realistic digital sky in 3D, just like what we see with the naked eye or a telescope. It can demonstrate from very basics to advance concepts of Astronomy. It is like a space ship that takes us to far off places in the Universe. It is also like a time machine that creates sky scenarios like eclipses, transits, conjunctions, etc of the past and the future.

DigiskyTM Planetarium systems for fixed domes and portable (mobile) inflatable domes called "Digdome™" are suitable for Schools, Colleges, Universities, Science Centers, Science Museums, Camp Organisers, Townships, Malls, Fun Parks.
